Job Context:
∎ Classification: 6 months contract (in the first instance) with potential to extend to 12 months, depending on performance and availability of funds
∎ Work Location: E 1 - Junior Consultant
∎ Dhaka
∎ Direct Reports:0
∎ Travel Required: Up 30 % (within Bangladesh)
∎ This position is for an initial 6 months period, with potential to extend beyond this period subject to successful performance and availability of funds.
∎ 80% of this position`s time shall be spent on SBN activities.
∎ 20% of this position`s time shall be spent on Eat Safe.
∎ Key Organizational Relationships:
∎ Will report to Country Coordinator, SBN Bangladesh
∎ Will interact with Country, Regional, and global teams and SUN stakeholders in Bangladesh
∎ Will interact with Bangladesh civil society, Government, and private sector, under the guidance of the Country Coordinator

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The candidate recruited for this engagement will be responsible for ensuring the SBN coordinator is strongly supported in the implementation of the SUN Business Network Bangladesh. In addition, the candidate will be required to contribute towards the general operations of the Country office to give SBN a strong footing in Bangladesh.
∎ Junior Consultant Tasks and responsibilities include:
∎ Maintain key documents and databases including SBN Bangladesh's network database
∎ Collate and monitor business commitments to nutrition
∎ Preparation of regular updates and presentations for internal and external audiences and meetings
∎ Support to the EAT Safe project in terms of partnership management, technical, reporting, and monitoring aspects
∎ Support to the EAT Safe project implementation partners, creative agencies, and other stakeholders to develop a work plan with their roles and responsibilities
∎ Support in the development of relevant BCC and capacity building materials in consultation with partners, market association and relevant experts
∎ Support to facilitate the EAT Safe project implementation partner to implement the agreed work plan
∎ Develop communications and advocacy materials
∎ Organise meetings and workshops
∎ Provide administrative support for SBN Bangladesh, e.g. diary management and travel arrangements
∎ Provide support to the coordinator in business engagement in nutrition and in the implementation of the 3year strategy
∎ Contribute towards activities in other projects as deemed necessary by the SBN Coordinator and/or the global team In addition to the SBN-specific tasks and responsibilities above, the junior consultant will also be responsible for the following activities that will ensure smooth operation of the Country office:
∎ Administrative and Program Assistance:
∎ Organizes meetings and workshops for GAIN programs, including travel arrangements and security advice
∎ Organizes mission visits, accommodation, and local transport

∎ Other Requirements:
∎ Business English, written and verbal is essential
∎ Willingness and ability to travel within the country
