Responsibilities & Context:

Junior Consultant, Medicine & Cardiology:

We are looking for a Junior Consultant for the Medicine & Cardiology Department to join our team of medical professionals. They will work with patients to provide treatment and ensure fitness for ophthalmic surgeries. They will make diagnoses, provide systemic treatment plans and work with other physicians and surgeons to treat patients’ cardiovascular disorders and other systemic disorders.

 To be successful as a cardiologist, they will need to make important decisions regarding their patients' care and be emotionally resilient in challenging medical situations. The ability to work and collaborate with Anesthesiologists in the operation theater, when necessary, and with other Surgeons in a complex and diverse environment is also necessary.

Major Responsibilities:

• Consulting with patients to understand their symptoms and health concerns.

• Identify the cardiac diseases and other systemic diseases regarding patients’ fitness for ophthalmic surgeries through the appropriate tests, diagnoses, etc.

• Interpreting cardiac test results to determine the suitability for ophthalmic surgeries.

• Provide appropriate advice in taking cardiac care in line with the appropriateness of ophthalmic treatment and surgeries.

• Have excellent knowledge and skills in diagnosing and managing diseases in general medicine.

• Classifying and managing diabetes and endocrine disorders

• Identifying kidney diseases and urological problems

• Skills in diagnosing and managing communicable and non-communicable diseases

• Training and providing educational support to junior staff, when necessary.

• Performing any other departmental tasks as and when necessary by the management.

• Coordinate with Anesthesiologist in operation theater when necessary.
