• Sound knowledge of competency-based training, assessment, and practices.

• Physically and mentally fit to perform training and field-related responsibilities.

• Strong communication, leadership, and classroom & assessment management skills

Responsibilities & Context:

• Conduct practical training on welding joint preparation and fit-up activities.

• Train trainees on plate fit-up, pipe joint fit-up, tack welding preparation, and alignment prior to welding.

• Teach accurate measurement, marking, cutting verification, edge preparation, root gap, bevel angle, and joint alignment.

• Ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with approved drawings and WPS requirements before welding.

• Train trainees on the proper use of measuring instruments, hand tools, clamps, fixtures, and fit-up equipment.

• Supervise welding preparation activities to ensure readiness before welding operations.

• Monitor workshop safety, housekeeping, and proper handling of fabrication tools.

• Evaluate trainees' fit-up skills through practical assessments and performance monitoring.

• Maintain fit-up tools, equipment, and related training materials.
