  • At least (06-08) years of progressively responsible work experience in the area of Hospital Management and Eye Health.
  • Experience in working with INGOs, International Development Organizations /UN, Eye Health sector would be preferable.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills with readiness to work extended hours.
  • Experience in team management and team building consisting of different level of staff.
  • Strong interpersonal and liaison skills.
  •  Ability and willingness to travel to secondary hospitals land vision centers located at different parts of the country.
  • Should have program monitoring and staff supervision and development skill.
  • Computer literacy & expertise in software handling is a must for the post.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and relationship management skills.

We are currently looking for energetic, dynamic and enthusiastic person for the following position:

Job Context:

The position is responsible for assisting Director, Community Services and Consultant in planning, implementation and supervision of all secondary level eye hospitals (SLEH) of IIEI&H and interfacing regularly with related staff members of the main hospital in relation to operational activities. S/he is required to keep the Director, Community Services updated on the operational issues of SLEHs. S/he also needs to maintain functional relationship with Medical Services Department, Quality Assurance, Nursing, ICT, and HR departments to ensure effective and efficient implementation of quality eye care services at the community level hospitals and outreach services in the community. S/he may be responsible for staff development, management, and operations of secondary hospitals. S/he needs to maintain a congenial collaboration with the partners and the international organizations.

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall management of the branch hospitals in terms of performance, co-ordinates outreach (camps and vision centers), demand generation, donor’s compliance (if any) and service promotion.

  • Develop monthly plan of the branch hospitals as per operational requirements: setting targets, monitoring target achievements, monitoring visit and local level coordination.

  • Coordinate between base hospital and branch hospital in validating target vs achievements and compliance issues.

  • Supervise closely the works of Camp organizer, Counselor and other relevant support staffs for effective management. Monitoring Patient flow of OPD, IPD & all departments of branch hospital.

  • Ensure to maintain all the clinical protocol and S0Ps to ensure quality eye care services with the help of Consultant.

  • Develop Information, Education & Communication (IEC) materials for hospital and camp promotional works.

  • Maintain, local level liaision with all relevant stakeholders; public- private-NGOs, government authority.

  • Identify loopholes and weaknesses in Logistic, Operations and Legal affairs and implement effective Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Implement security policies, regulations, rules & norms and make sure that the environment of the secondary hospitals are safe for employees and patients.

  • Look after staff performance management and staff development.

  • Perform any other tasks as and when assigned by the authority.
