Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop and implement procurement strategies for yarn, chemicals, trims, and accessories.
∎ Source reliable and cost-effective suppliers while ensuring quality compliance.
∎ Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with vendors.
∎ Establish long-term relationships with key suppliers for a sustainable supply chain.
∎ Oversee inventory levels to ensure timely availability of raw materials and minimize holding costs.
∎ Implement inventory control measures to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
∎ Ensure proper storage and handling of yarn, chemicals, trims, and accessories in compliance with industry standards.
∎ Manage inbound and outbound logistics to ensure on-time delivery of materials.
∎ Work closely with freight forwarders, transporters, and warehouses for smooth operations.
∎ Optimize supply chain processes to improve lead times and reduce transportation costs.
∎ Collaborate with the production and merchandising teams to align material procurement with production schedules.
∎ Forecast demand and plan supply chain activities accordingly.
∎ Implement Just-In-Time (JIT) and lean supply chain methodologies to enhance efficiency.
∎ Ensure all procurement and supply chain activities comply with national and international standards.
∎ Identify risks related to supply disruptions and develop mitigation strategies.
∎ Maintain ethical sourcing and sustainable procurement practices.
∎ Lead and develop the SCM team, fostering a high-performance culture.
∎ Provide training and mentorship to enhance team capabilities.
∎ Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensure continuous performance improvement.
