Overall Operations Management
Manage and supervise day-to-day pharmacy operations.
Ensure smooth and efficient workflow across pharmacy branches/departments.
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
Monitor operational performance and take corrective actions when required.
Staff Management
Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, sales staff, and support employees.
Prepare staff schedules and allocate responsibilities.
Monitor staff performance, attendance, discipline, and productivity.
Conduct training and support professional development.
Inventory & Stock Management
Monitor medicine and healthcare product inventory.
Ensure proper stock levels and minimize stock-outs and overstocking.
Monitor expiry dates, damaged products, and slow-moving items.
Coordinate purchasing and replenishment with suppliers.
Ensure proper storage conditions for medicines and other products.
Regulatory & Compliance
Ensure pharmacy operations comply with applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards.
Maintain proper documentation, licenses, records, and regulatory requirements.
Ensure medicines are dispensed and stored according to approved procedures.
Coordinate with regulatory authorities when necessary.
Sales & Business Performance
Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance.
Set operational and sales targets for pharmacy teams.
Analyze sales reports, expenses, margins, and profitability.
Develop strategies to improve revenue and operational efficiency.
Customer Service
Ensure high-quality customer service.
Handle customer complaints and resolve operational issues.
Maintain professional standards in customer interactions.
Improve customer satisfaction and retention.
Procurement & Supplier Management
Coordinate with medicine and healthcare product suppliers.
Evaluate supplier performance, pricing, quality, and delivery.
Negotiate purchasing terms where applicable.
Ensure timely procurement of essential products.
Financial & Cost Control
Monitor operational expenses and control unnecessary costs.
Review cash handling, billing, discounts, returns, and refunds.
Coordinate with finance/accounts teams regarding operational financial matters.
Help improve overall profitability.
Quality & Safety
Ensure proper handling, storage, and dispensing of medicines.
Implement quality-control procedures.
Monitor incidents, errors, complaints, and corrective actions.
Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy environment.
Reporting & Management
Prepare regular operational reports for senior management.
Monitor KPIs such as sales, inventory turnover, wastage, expiry, customer satisfaction, and staff productivity.
Identify operational problems and recommend solutions.
