Job Context:
∎ Freight Options Limited (Business Unit under Expo Group, Bangladesh) is a Freight Forwarding company that is looking for a dynamic, hardworking, quick learner, energetic, smart & self-motivated male/female candidates as Head of Import Operations.
∎ Job Grade: Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager to help us build up our business activities.
∎ This position is to lead the overall import operations and customer service of the company.
∎ This would be a regular/permanent job subject to successful completion of 6 month probation period.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1. CRM (Customer Relationship Management):
∎ i. Visit the customer to regain our existing customer’s shipment as well as new customers.
∎ ii. Send the nomination to our nominated agent with our required instructions.
∎ iii. Communicate with overseas Agents for smooth handling of the shipment.
∎ iv. Monitoring every shipment (nominated) from Ex–load port up to deliver the cargo to Consignee. And inform the updated status of the shipment to the customer as like cargo arrival notice on time & Prepare Local Invoice and complete job cost and all import-related task on time & follow up customer credit limitation.
∎ v. Prepare Agent payment as per our overseas Agent SOA. And follow up with the manager until has made this payment to our Agent.
∎ vi. Need to achieve 100% of the individual budget in terms of GP and VOL
∎ vii. Need to ensure 100% credit collection of Import CRM and Individual
∎ 2. Import Operations:
∎ i. Develop operations strategy in order to meet strategic goals
∎ ii. Meet budgets for Import Operations & Sales team
∎ iii. Maintain & improve GP margin according to Business Unit strategic objectives
∎ iv. Management of the Imports team in line with the organizational strategy:
∎ a. Active budget planning and steering of budget achievement
∎ b. Initiate and steer the development of measures in order to:
∎ i. develop the import business and trade lane development (GP, GP margin, EBT)
∎ ii. Maintain and improve operational process efficiency & quality
∎ v. Ensure compliance with the relevant regulations and standards (e.g. Customs, Dangerous goods, Code of Conduct, etc.) within the function
∎ vi. Monitoring the sales performance of the Import Sales team
∎ vii. Perform yield management
∎ viii. Ensuring smooth collection of Revenue within the time frame;
∎ 3. Pricing:
∎ i. Activity Checking rate with local carrier & agent as per customer’s & Sales person’s rate inquiry.
∎ ii. Send quotation to the customer as per customer’s rate inquiry.
∎ iii. Communicate with the customer (Existing & New) for shipment inquiry/ business vol/ required facilities.
∎ iv. Try to give 100% effort to secure the business.
∎ v. Develop a relationship with Agents for their nominated shipment.
∎ 4. Network Development:
∎ I. Maintains and develops client relations for new customers, assuring all existing customers are contacted regularly to ensure customer satisfaction and develop need-based marketing relations
∎ II. Attend conventions, conferences, and trade shows as needed; prepares post-event reports and analysis
∎ III. Develops and implements a plan for closing business and maintaining long-term customer relationships
∎ 5. Business Development:
∎ I. Identifies and generates new business; develops and delivers sales presentations
∎ II. Develop innovative and profitable products and meet budgets for product development
∎ III. Develop customer relations including but not limited to sales leads, research, cold calling, qualifying leads, developing leads, and customer service
∎ IV. Develops and implements action plan with objectives and strategies to increase revenue and aggressively acquire new accounts
∎ V. Seeks/creates opportunities to expand business with current clients; identifies further business needs and develops and presents solutions
∎ 6. Documentation:
∎ i. Follow up with the agent for update status for our nominated shipment docs, debit note/credit note.
∎ ii. All shipment record has been updated in our DATABASE software (SOL) in time.
∎ iii. Assist Chittagong office to submit IGM.
∎ iv. Assist Airport people to collect original Docs from the airport terminal and follow up with Asycuda's online systems updated.
∎ v. Communication with local carrier/Airlines / overseas for obtaining special facilities on
∎ On behalf of our valuable Customers Cooperate with carriers to get their best service.

Salary:

Break Down of Salary: Basic 60%, House Rent 30%, Conveyance 5%, Medical Allowance 5%;
