Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering
∎ Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology,Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology,Khulna University of Engineering and Technology,Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology,Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology students will get preference
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 15 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
building design, Designing, Flyover, rcc bridge construction, Structural Design, Structural Designing
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepare specifications and verify that the design meets code requirements
∎ Analyze the proposed structural design & drawing of Flyovers, Bridge etc.
∎ Calculate costs and time schedules for proposed work and monitor project design progress.
∎ Prepare the BOQ for assigned civil works
∎ Recognize potential project problems quickly and seek advice of the Project Manager.
∎ Review design methods, procedures, changes in scope, and client correspondence with the Project Manager;
∎ Conduct periodic job site observations and all other services. as required by the contract services agreement.
∎ Preparation & approval of method statements and monitoring site work progress if required.
∎ Manage the team of Design Engineers and draftsman to ensure the timely completion of design activities.
∎ To float enquiry, Techno-commercial evaluation of bids/quotation, negotiation/ discussion with vendors, preparation & approval of material submittals, Purchase recommendation/ Order placement, Cost control etc if required by the Management.
∎ In-depth knowledge and understanding of codes, standards and local regulations.
∎ Participate in the Technical review and progress review of the projects if required by the management.
∎ Well-versed with structural design software i.e. STAAD PRO, ETAB, ACDC etc
∎ Well practiced in detail engineering design & tendering of bridge & building projects
