Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Civil Engineering from any reputed university. Preferable from BUET, Civil & Structural Department.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 12 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The incumbent would be completely responsible for:
∎ To carryout process improvement and operations optimization.
∎ The position demands good & sound engineering knowledge to supervise/ coordinate independently various activities such as design/ detailing for estimation of proposal/ production order, coordinate with Design Engineers for Steel, RCC & Foundation Design and total work planning.
∎ To take special eye on safety regulation, legal stipulations, the environment considerations and quality. Besides, must comply with AISC, ASTM, AWS, MBMA, JIS & BNBC Codes.
∎ Be responsible to supervise the work of all the design engineers working and delegating works to draftsmen and proof-checking, resulting drawings in the Design Section of MSBPL. Also responding to fabrication & erection queries as and when required.
∎ Distribute the work among team & keep records.
∎ Train their team on updated design methods, improve the core skills of the team by holding regular classes and evaluations.
∎ Should be able to market to foreign and local clients, as and when required.
∎ Be responsible to supervise the engineering modeling, analysis & design of RCC, foundation steel structures for facilitation of BOQ & price offer for submission to potential clients and furnishing complete steel frame plus connection design.
∎ Be required to communicate with clients where needed to determine project requirements such as developing specification, design etc. and interpreting consultant’s drawings to evaluate constructability.
∎ Any other assignment/job not detailed herein & felt conductive by Management as and when necessary.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 40 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Experience in all type of Structural Design and Detailing preferably in Pre-fabricated Steel Building Products..
∎ Should have the good knowledge of STAADPro, ETABS, TEKLA, Connection design software, Auto CAD, etc.
∎ Must have excellent oral and written English communication skill, dynamic leadership, negotiation and planning/budgeting competency backed by understanding of design & detailing is also pre-requisite.
∎ Must be energetic & capable to handle pressure.
