Responsibilities & Context:
Our fast growing retail organization is expanding our business in Europe. For our Bangladesh liaison office we are looking for professional candidates to fill the following position:
Job Responsibilities
Review and interpret buyers` technical packs, specifications, and fit comments, and provide clear technical guidance to factories throughout the sample development process.
Prepare, verify, and update garment specifications, size charts, measurement sheets, and consumption calculations in accordance with buyer requirements.
Develop and evaluate garment patterns, ensuring accurate fit, grading, and construction standards are achieved.
Manage sample development from prototype through Fit, Size Set, PP, and TOP samples, with a strong focus on achieving First Sample Approval and minimizing sample rejections.
Evaluate garment fit, measurements, workmanship, construction, and overall product quality to ensure compliance with buyer specifications and company standards.
Identify technical issues and provide practical solutions to factories relating to garment construction, sewing techniques, pattern corrections, fabric performance, shading, and manufacturing defects.
Conduct technical risk assessments and proactively resolve product development issues before bulk production.
Liaise closely with internal Technical, QA, Merchandising, and Production teams, as well as overseas technical teams, to ensure timely approvals and smooth execution of development and production.
Conduct factory visits to support technical development, pre-production meetings, inline inspections, and final quality evaluations when required.
Ensure all garments comply with buyer quality standards, technical requirements, product safety regulations, and manufacturing best practices.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing technical training and guidance to factory technical teams to enhance product quality, fit consistency, and manufacturing efficiency.
Utilize CAD and CLO 3D software for pattern evaluation, virtual garment fitting, and technical visualization where applicable.
Maintain accurate technical documentation, sample records, fit comments, and approval history throughout the product development cycle.
