Job Context:
∎ DEG is the German Investment and Development Company and a member of KfW Bank owned by the German government. Over more than 50 years, DEG has been financing and structuring investments of private sector companies in emerging countries. With a total portfolio of 9 billion EUR, DEG is Europe`s major development finance institution for the private sector in Asia, Africa, Latin America and Eastern Europe. DEG provides long-term finance for companies in manufacturing, infrastructure, finance and agricultural industries. DEG has been active in Bangladesh since 1981 and financed 40 companies with a total of 500 million EUR in the form of equity and long term loans in the power, finance, textile, pharmaceutical, consumer goods, cement and telecommunication sectors.
∎ To facilitate its increasing involvement in Bangladesh, we will employ an additional staff member in Bangladesh as
∎ Financial Analyst
∎ For this challenging and broad based task we are looking for a dynamic person used to work independently. The ideal candidate is a hardworking, self-motivated banker / specialist in the financial sector and used to achieve targets. The position will be based in the KFW Office in Dhaka.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ In depth analysis of target industries
∎ Identification and approaching of suitable companies and finance projects
∎ Analysis of companies, and business plans and finance proposals
∎ Structuring of DEG financial instruments
∎ Support to DEG due diligence teams and portfolio management;
∎ Setting up Corporate Ratings;
∎ Monitoring of contractual agreements and financial covenants;

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ Excellent written and verbal communication skill in English and Bangla
∎ Inter personal and presentation skills, good analytical skills and pleasant personality.
∎ Minimum 3 years of experience in the financial sector / investment banking / financial advisory with exposure in corporate and project financing
