Experience:

• At least 5 years

Professional/academic qualification at master’s level or higher in finance and accounting.

• At least 5 years

• Five years’ experience of working for humanitarian organization/development organization.
• Proven experience of development and managing of financial systems
• Solid experience in leading budgeting and financial planning
• Solid experience in delivering consolidated financial reports with expenditures in multiple currencies
• Knowledge and experience of USAID and other major donors’ requirements is an advantage
• Experience in working in an international organisation
• Knowledge on general office management and administration including procurement and logistics

Duration of the contract: 12 months, with possible extension

Reporting to: Finance Manager, Asia Pacific Division, American Red Cross

Job Purpose:

• The Finance Manager is a position that has an employment contract with International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), but it is seconded to American Red Cross (AmRC).
• The Finance Manager is responsible for the financial systems, processes and procedures relating to the running of the American Red Cross, Bangladesh Country Office and to ensure compliance with AmRC/IFRC finance policies and procedures, guaranteeing controls are robust and yet flexible enough to meet the requirements of programs. He/ she will ensure compliance with AmRC’s and back donor finance reporting requirements. This position is also responsible for training, orienting and advising Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) project staff on financial, compliance and administrative matters related to the American Red Cross Internal and donor requirements.
• The Finance Manager will be directly reporting to AmRC International Service Finance (ISF) and will work closely with the Country Representative.
