Responsibilities & Context:
About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager to lead and support our accounting team in Dhaka. This role requires close involvement in operational finance as well as direct contribution to client deliverables.
Key Accountabilities (Hands-On Role)
● Lead and support the finance team with a hands-on approach to full- function accounting operations.
● Oversee and perform AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger activities accurately and on time.
● Manage month-end close including journals, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
● Ensure high-quality service and accurate outcomes for overseas clients.
● Maintain strong internal controls and drive process efficiencies.
● Proactively resolve operational finance issues.
● Conduct performance reviews and support team development.
● Leverage system knowledge to guide and assist the team.

● Update process notes for all major tasks
● Other general tasks requested by line manager
What you’ll bring
● Minimum 10+ years of relevant finance/accounting experience
● Supervisory/team leadership experience required
● Strong experience in AP, AR, payroll & month-end accounting
● Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
● Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
● Take full ownership
● Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
● Reliable, proactive and positive attitude towards work.
● Experience in computerized accounting systems preferably Xero
● Strong business acumen, commercially minded, self-motivated & resilient
● Has a strong sense of urgency about solving problems and getting work done
● Ability to constantly seek to improve existing practices and processes
● Experience with outsourced finance or Australian clients will be an advantage.
