Educational Requirements:
∎ Candidate must have a B.Sc/ M.Sc or similar degree in fashion design from reputed university; candidates having diploma in similar major /concentration with extensive work experience are also encouraged to apply
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 7 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Art & Sketch, Fashion Design, Graphic Design (Computer Aided)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Buying House, Garments, Retail Store
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Study current global fashion trends & themes, brand ethos and aesthetics as well as anticipate designs that will appeal to customers
∎ Develops concepts, themes as well as create designs using sketch or computer aided design (CAD)
∎ Selects as well as sources fabrics, trims, fastenings and embellishments
∎ Analyzes production feasibility by understanding different fabric qualities, pattern making, fits/technical aspects of garment construction
∎ Leads design team to create prototype design
∎ Ensures product designs are tested on models and make necessary adjustments/changes before offering the same to customers
∎ Performs cost analysis for each designed and developed products in order to support marketing team to attract buyers
∎ Supports marketing team by adding value to its clients, understanding and researching new product development opportunities
∎ Maintains liaison with sales/marketing to ensure the item suits the customer, market and price points
∎ Prepares presentation for buyers as well as present designs with detail information keeping the view of receiving order confirmation
∎ Communicates with production team in order to explain the design as well as follow up production quality meets buyer's expectation
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 25 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Candidate should have experience of working with international brands
∎ Candidate should have experience of leading a design team
∎ Candidate should have knowledge on current trends of apparel industry
