Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Prepare a budget, annual action plan and ensure implementation
∎ Supervise 225 to 275 acres land for seed production per year
∎ Ensure selection of hybrid rice seed production block and prepare approval documents for block with the concern of Sr. FM, Hybrid Rice
∎ Ensure local and foreign materials purchase and supply on time
∎ Ensure on time seeding and production of robust seedlings
∎ Ensure transplanting within 7 to 10 days
∎ Ensure farmer’s training before transplanting and GA3 application
∎ Provide technical and management support for quality seed production and evaluation ongoing activities by monitoring and minimize process loss of produced seeds
∎ Ensure staff development through meeting, coaching, counseling, feedback, mentoring
∎ Verify panicle initiation checking to maintain adjustment of male and female parent and conduct rouging to maintain genetic purity of seeds
∎ Take necessary steps such as rouging, isolation, R line transplanting in boarder area and chatal management to maintain the germination % of seeds and seed quality
∎ Take necessary steps to produce diseases free, black spot free and minimum 98 % genetic purity F1 rice seeds
∎ Monitor proper GA3 spraying and conduct supplementary pollination on time and make a schedule for seed harvesting, threshing and drying
∎ Keep update all documents, analyse profit/loss and send monthly report and all SCA report to the supervisor
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
∎ Perform any other jobs as assigned by the management
