Job Responsibilities: English Teacher (Phonics)

• Develop students’ reading, writing, pronunciation, and spelling skills through phonics instruction.

• Plan and deliver structured lessons based on a recognized phonics curriculum.

• Use interactive teaching techniques such as songs, stories, games, and activities to enhance learning.

• Assess students’ progress regularly and maintain accurate records of performance.

• Provide individual support to students who need additional help in reading and pronunciation.

• Create a positive and encouraging classroom environment that promotes language development.

• Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, and teaching materials aligned with school standards.

• Collaborate with other teachers and academic staff to ensure consistent learning outcomes.

• Communicate with parents regarding student progress and areas for improvement.

• Support school events, literacy programs, and co-curricular activities.

• Maintain classroom discipline and ensure effective classroom management.

• Stay updated with modern phonics teaching strategies and methodologies.

• Ensure proper use of English language in classroom communication at all times.

• Monitor and evaluate students’ reading fluency and comprehension skills.
