Experience:

• Bachelor/Honors

• Bachelor`s degree from any reputed university with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 out of 4.00. Knowledge of the U.S. education system is preferred. Student counseling experience is an added advantage. Preference will be given to graduates/alumni of U.S. universities and U.S. exchange alumni.

• SSC and HSC with minimum GPA 4.50 out of 5.00 or O Level and A Level with a minimum grade of B+

• At least 2 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): University

• Age At most 35 years

Required Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of administrative/professional experience in education, training, or counseling services.

Additional Requirements:

• Fluent in English and Bengali with strong interpersonal, written, and presentation skills; public speaking/debating experience preferred. Candidates will be required to take an English proficiency test.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint; skilled in report writing and data analysis.

• Experienced in organizing educational programs, events, and logistics.

• Must have strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with the host institution (Varendra University), American Corner team, EdUSA Bangladesh team, EdUSA advisees, and U.S. higher education institution representatives.

• Knowledgeable about Bangladeshi education systems and cultural institutions.

• Strong team collaboration skills; ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.

Overview: EducationUSA is a global network of over 425 international student advising centers in 178 countries, dedicated to promoting U.S. higher education opportunities worldwide. The network provides accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date information about study options at accredited institutions in the United States.

As an EducationUSA Adviser, the selected candidate will play a key role in guiding and advising students who are interested in pursuing higher studies in the U.S.A. This includes offering one-on-one advising, conducting outreach activities, organizing information sessions, and supporting students through every stage of the application and admission process.

The Adviser will also work closely with U.S. higher education institutions to support recruitment goals and campus internationalization efforts. This position requires excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills, along with a strong passion for education and student development.

Job Description / Responsibilities:

• Develop strategic plans to expand student reach, with a focus on the northern part of Bangladesh

• Advise and support students on U.S. study opportunities, including applications and scholarships, by organizing information sessions

• Build partnerships with U.S. universities and coordinate visits by their representatives.

• Promote U.S. education through information sessions to the targeted audience, events, and digital platforms

• Maintain student records, prepare reports, and represent EducationUSA at conferences and meetings.

• Conduct research on education systems and cultural institutions in Bangladesh to inform engagement strategies

• Organize and actively participate in engagement activities, including events, seminars, and information sessions
