Responsibilities and duties
Designation: Project Officer (WASH Engineer)
Key responsibilities:
Taking effective steps to implement the activities in the assigned work area to implement the goals and objectives of the project;
The project engineer is responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines needed to complete the project. The project engineer works to plan projects, establish project criteria, coordinate project reviews, and ensure the proper implementation of project elements.
Produce appropriate technical & engineering sketches and relevant engineering drawings/designs from ecology-based adaptation (EbA) and climate-adaptive WASH points of view and present to the donors for approval.
Coordinate with the Consortia focal person to finalize the technical drawing and design
Responsible for providing technical supervision and guidance on the quality of work on WASH technological options at all stages of the project management cycles.
Ensure water quality, environmental sanitation and documentation.
In consultation with the project manager, manage the budget of the programs at the field level.
Monitor and ensure the quality of construction materials
Monitor and ensure the quality of all hardware construction through extensive field visits in difficult project locations regularly.
Regular report to management/supervisor regarding work progress
programmatic cooperation with other managers, colleagues and other team members in order to create and use project-internal synergies;
Participating in monthly meetings and preparing field level activity reports at the end of the month
Understands and obey the principles of DSK like PSEA, GBV, Child Protection, Code of Conduct, Finance & Procurement etc.
In case of involvement in any form of sexual misconduct (sexual exploitation, sexual harassment and sexual abuse/harassment), the organization will take disciplinary action as per employment rules, adopting zero tolerance policy.
To do other work as directed by the superior authority of DSK.
