∎ We are looking for Digital Surveyor, Abdul Monem Economic Zone Limited (AMEZ).
∎ With the vision to lead the infrastructure development of the country, pioneering entrepreneur Mr. Abdul Monem in the year 1957 embarked upon the journey to start the first and currently the largest business concern of AM group of Companies.
∎ The core strength of our organization is rooted in our capacity to gather the resources to complete infrastructure projects on a grand scale (funded by Word Bank, ADB, JICA etc.) AML is currently leading the conglomerate market with 18 SBUs such as Coca Cola, the producer of number one ice-cream brand Igloo, Igloo milk and dairy products, Igloo food items and snacks, pharmaceuticals, auto bricks, bitumen and other selected construction materials.
∎ The envisaged economic zone is located in Gazaria, within two mouzas (Bausia and Jajira) of Gazaria upazilla under Munshiganj, covering almost 216 acres (with option for expansion up to 300+ acres) of exclusively owned land. The area is popularly known as Daudkandi. The vision is `To become the global ambassador for Bangladesh and a catalyst for the economic and social development of our country, thereby transforming Bangladesh into a middle-income country by 2021 and a developed country by 2041 through the establishment and continuation of world class customer services at our state-of-the-art facilities.
∎ For the smooth run and the successful completion, we are searching for eligible and competent candidate for the mentioned position
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Make use of geographical information systems (GIS) to analyse and interpret site features
∎ Produce detailed information (subsequently analysed by planners, builders and cartographers)
∎ Use a range of equipment to produce surveys, including GPS and conventional methods
∎ Analyse information thoroughly before it is handed over to other professionals
∎ Measure the ground, including aspects such as small and large-scale distances, angles and elevations
∎ Gather data on the earth's physical and man-made features through surveys
∎ Process data
∎ Undertake digital mapping
∎ Think creatively to resolve practical planning and development problems
∎ Interpret data using maps, charts and plans
∎ Utilize data from a range of sources, such as aerial photography, satellite surveys and laser beam measuring systems
∎ Use computer-aided design (CAD) and other IT software to interpret data and present information
∎ keep up to date with new and emerging technology
∎ Provide advice to a variety of clients
∎ Manage and monitor projects from start to finish - you're more likely to do this once you're chartered.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ Diploma in Surveying from a Bangladesh Survey Institute, Kumilla is preferable.
∎ Experience of facility development in economic zones will be an added advantage.
∎ Computer based communication & report writing skills and fluency in English.
