We are looking for dynamic talent as Designer in the Design & Development Department at Sweater Factory.

• Sample responsibilities for this position include:

• Research trends and conduct fit comparisons to business partners based on findings

• Evaluate the fit of each sample identifying fit problems and recommending appropriate solutions

• Extensive knowledge of knit construction, including understanding of knit machinery, familiarity with mills, yarns, gauges, stiches

• Conducts fit sessions

• Draft a first pattern following silhouette, proportion and design detail when required

• Act as the point of contact for vendors and answer questions regarding fit, specs, pattern, trims and construction

• Develop knit classifications, within the framework of the line architecture, to reflect a balance between fashion/trend core and emerging businesses for presentation to and selection by the merchant team

• Own proto and market sample review for knit classifications

• Possess strong knowledge of garment construction and lead fit sessions to help solve all problems that may occur during proto sample and market stage

• Partner with Design Director to create and refine sweater, cut/sew knit, and

  Job location will be Gacha, Gazipur.

• Design & develop by own research and following the buyer`s trends.

• Make co-creation & collection design.

• Producing concepts by analyzing trends and target consumers.

• Making graphics/sketches by hand or on the computer.

• Ensure work on the sweater trend Report/client Mood/market Intel as Buyer`s development program/upcoming seasonal development.

• Follow-up and confirm quality products through multiple processes (pattern, strike-off, yarn, knit down, and mockup)

• Attend trade shows and industry events to gain inspiration, network with industry professionals, and stay informed about the latest industry developments.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, sampling, merchandising, and marketing, to ensure seamless execution of design concepts.

• Assist in maintaining and updating the display room for the buyer`s visit.

• Provide proper documentation and reporting of work.

• Perform all other special tasks as assigned by the management.
