∎ Preferred Professional Certification: PGDSCM
∎ Skills Required: Logistic Service, Logistics Management, Supply Chain
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 10 year(s)

Commercial/ Export-Import, Freight Forwarding/ C&F, Logistics Management, Shipping Logistic
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Shipping, Logistic/Courier/Air Express Companies
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Monitor vessel operations prior to arrival, during arrival, alongside, and departure to ensure smooth operations.
∎ Perform various administrative duties (such as maintaining regular log records of both mother and lighter vessels, updating of loading and discharging status, etc.) related to the loading, discharging of cargoes at various operations' locations in accordance with planning schedules.
∎ Anticipate and attend discrepancies and/or disruptions to the process that may arise.
∎ Control flow of loaded and/or empty coasters/lighters during loading and/or discharging to maintain continuous operations. Advise of any discrepancy or any shortage of coasters/lighters or delays to the cargo arriving at destination.
∎ Check and update yard/unloading point locations and inventory and if necessary, undertake yard search/visit for full appraisal of cargo receiving readiness based on loaded lighters.
∎ Stakeholder management - External (lighter contractors, stevedores, shipping and C&F agents, surveyors, consignee, ghat/jetty operators, etc.) & Internal (logistics Maintain secure and safety procedure during vessel operations and cargo operations following the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) regulation.
∎ Vessel wise safety monitoring, safety briefing to ghat/jetty operators, coordination with all relevant safety teams/departments.
∎ Oversee, manage and optimize the lighterage operations and operational activities.
∎ Heading of operational staff and implement and enforce company policies, including operational structures and procedures, within the business unit.
∎ Coordination of third-party businesses for lighter vessels.
∎ Operational budget planning and strict cost control including raising of requisitions thereof.
∎ Reporting and administration of operational documentation.
∎ Close co-ordination and co-operation with all other Department Heads.
∎ Substitute for the Department Head if/as agreed by him.
∎ Responsible for duty rosters and shift system of operational staff.
∎ Project works [ad-hoc basis].
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 45 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ The candidate should have minimum 10 years' experience in shipping & Logistics functions.
∎ Proficient in SAP SD module is must.
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
∎ Dynamic & Self-motivated with high personal integrity and loyalty.
∎ Able to work under pressure and handle multitasking activities.
∎ Standard and regular computer proficiency is needed.
Salary: Negotiable
