Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters/ Bachelor in Information Science & Library Management from any recognized institution.

Experience Requirements:
∎ 10 to 12 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Manage all aspects of the library service.
∎ Plan, develop, manage and assess the Library's collections, operations, services & facilities.
∎ Develop and implement strategies and infrastructure to manage, preserve & provide access to hardcopy books as well as digital assets.
∎ Manage library budgets and resources.
∎ Develop a library and information resources center supporting teaching and independent research for the university.
∎ Develop IT facilities in the library.
∎ Conduct literature searches for online public access catalogue (OPAC), online databases and journals, answering ready- reference and other enquiries.
∎ Catalogue print and non- print materials using international standard MARC 21 and AACR2 and Integrated Library System, upgrade and edit existing catalogue records.
∎ Perform such other duties as may be prescribed or assigned by the university authorities.
∎ May have to perform additional responsibilities of the university.

Additional Requirements:
∎ 10 to 12 year(s) experience of working in recognized library.
∎ Familiar with the use of online research databases.
∎ Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
∎ Proficiency in spoken and written Bangla and English.
∎ Knowledge of digital library systems and services.

Salary:
∎ As per the university pay scale
