Job Context:

∎ Job Location: UCEP Head Office, Dhaka
∎ Job Purpose: To undertake every short-mid and long-term effort in timely, effective and efficient manner in order to forge optimum level of resource utilization, sustained cooperation and result-oriented synergy across UCEP Bangladesh. The incumbent is expected to lead, plan, calibrate, synchronize and make sure to implement all the activities relating to communication, marketing, partnership development, fundraising for long term competitive sustainability for UCEP Bangladesh and all its entities (e.g. UTI, UIST etc.) based on excellence, research, innovations in line with the organization`s value, vision, mission, goals and relevant country laws.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Play a lead role for local resource mobilization, national and international fundraising for UCEP Bangladesh's growth and sustainability.
∎ Develop and ensure implementation of corporate fundraising programs and monitor progress of fundraising drives at central and regional levels.
∎ Develop, set and achieve annual targets for fundraising following UCEP Bangladesh's Business Plan, explore potential funding sources (government agencies, donors, CSR, private sectors, industries, foundations, charities, individuals etc.) within and outside the country and provide timely and relevant information and guidance to the management and relevant departments.
∎ Establish effective fundraising mechanisms at regional levels.
∎ Recruit sponsors, participants, or volunteers for fundraising events.
∎ Create, maintain and update donor databases and ensure its due confidentiality.
∎ Conduct research to identify the goals, net worth, history of charitable donations, or other data related to potential donors, potential investors, or general donor markets.
∎ Contact corporate firms, representatives, government officials, or community leaders to increase awareness of organizational causes, activities, or needs.
∎ Development and effective implementation of necessary tools, mechanisms and procedures for strengthening accountability, transparency, effectiveness and efficiency.
∎ Ensure development (both in English and Bangla) and effective implementation of communication strategy,
∎ guidelines, tools and mechanisms of UCEP Bangladesh.
∎ Conduct regular donor landscape screening, establish networks with likeminded agencies nationally and internationally and proactively identify fundraising opportunities including strategies and interventions to contribute towards marketing, branding and image building in the sector.
∎ Regularly share UCEP Bangladesh's publications, reports, calendars, diaries with existing and prospective donors, partners and other stakeholders.
∎ • Develop or implement fundraising activities, such as annual giving campaigns, different types of shows or direct mail programs.
∎ Direct or coordinate web-based fundraising activities, such as online auctions (e.g. children's paintings from competitions) or donation Web sites.
∎ Hold after action review (AAR) sessions following every events/programs and share the reports with management on a regular basis.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 10 years of relevant professional experience including at least 05 years as Manager or equivalent relevant position in a large organization.
∎ Excellent command of communication skills both in Bangla and English.
∎ Excellent computer operating skill & conversant with MS Office package, CRM software, graphics design, social media management, relevant product development software, tools etc.
∎ Demonstrated experience of successful fundraising for a large organization.
∎ Self-motivated, adaptable and team player.
∎ Ability and willingness to travel frequently.
∎ Ensure efficiency, effectiveness and strict confidentiality in every activity.
∎ Age limit for the applicant would be 50 years. Management has the right to make exceptions based on qualifications.

Salary: Negotiable
