Education:
  • MBBS with excellent academic records and a certification in family medicine, or emergency care, or occupational health

    Or

    Master Degree/MBA from recognised university. 

  • Experience:

    The incumbent must have at least 7 years of experience out of which 4 years in Medical Service Administration in HealthCare Industry. 

  • Retired personnel from Armed Forces with medical background are also encouraged to apply for the position.

Responsibilities & Context:

Applications are invited from energetic, self-motivated and experienced candidates for the  position of Deputy Director, IAHS-H on the prevailing terms  and conditions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supporting Hospital Director to ensure smooth day to day operation.

  • Assisting in planning, organizing, and directing hospital operations.

  • Supporting the development and implementation of hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.

  • Monitoring and evaluating hospital performance metrics (e.g., patient flow, efficiency, costs).

  • Ensuring cross-departmental collaboration for optimal patient care and resource utilisation.

  • Helping to resolve interdepartmental conflicts or issues.

  • Assisting in recruitment, training, and evaluation of hospital staff.

  • Overseeing staffing levels to ensure proper coverage without excessive costs.

  • Promoting staff development, morale, and retention initiatives in coordination with HR.

  • Assisting with budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.

  • Ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations, safety standards, and accreditation requirements.

  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives and audits.

  • Monitoring infection control and patient safety programs.

  • Contributing to short- and long-term hospital planning.

  • Monitoring patient feedback and satisfaction levels.

  • Working with clinical teams to resolve patient concerns.

  • Ensuring a high standard of patient-centered care.

  • Supporting hospital preparedness for emergencies (eg pandemics, natural disasters).

  • Serving as a key person during crises in the absence of the Director.

  • Acting as a liaison between hospital leadership and external stakeholders (e.g., government agencies, vendors, partners).

  • Executing any other duties assigned by the authority.
