∎ Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, software development best practices, and modern engineering management principles.
∎ Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS), microservices architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and a variety of development tools and technologies.
∎ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
∎ Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to influence and mentor effectively.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Organizational Assessment & Optimization: Conduct a thorough review of our current engineering team structure, identifying opportunities to enhance organizational efficiency, team dynamics, and individual performance. This includes evaluating current talent, skill sets, and resource allocation.
∎ Technical Evaluation & Enhancement: Analyze our existing products, technology stack, and system architecture. Provide recommendations for improvements in scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability to support our growing user base and evolving product offerings.
∎ Process Enhancement & Standardization: Evaluate and optimize our core engineering processes, including Agile methodologies, software development lifecycle (SDLC) management, quality assurance (QA) procedures, and release management. Establish clear, documented processes that promote efficiency and quality.
∎ Performance Monitoring & Measurement: Define and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of engineering initiatives, process improvements, and overall team performance. This includes metrics related to sprint cycles, technical debt reduction, and product quality.
∎ Cultural Development: Contribute to fostering a positive and high-performing engineering culture that emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
∎ 10 Minute School is looking for talented individuals to join the Higher Secondary Education Project (HSEP), which aims to implement a Comprehensive Learning Management System (CLMS) across 3,300 colleges in Bangladesh. This USAID-funded project focuses on pedagogical training for higher secondary teachers. The CLMS will adopt a blended learning approach, incorporating both online and in-person learning and covering synchronous (live classes) and asynchronous content (recorded lectures, assignment submission, quizzes) to ensure the delivery of quality education. The project aims to directly benefit over 200,000 teachers and principals and indirectly over 3 million students, enhancing the educational landscape across the country.
∎ We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Consulting Vice President of Engineering to join our team in a part-time capacity. This engagement offers the potential to transition into a full-time Vice President of Engineering role. In this consulting capacity, you will play a critical role in strategically evaluating and optimizing our engineering organization, processes, and technical infrastructure. Your expertise will be essential in guiding us through a period of significant growth and ensuring we have the foundation to scale our technology and achieve our ambitious goals.
