Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Handle day-to-day import operations, including documentation, customs clearance coordination, and cargo tracking.
∎ Communicate with Clients, shipping lines, C&F agents, and overseas partners regarding shipment status and updates.
∎ Coordinate with the operations team to ensure the timely delivery of import shipments.
∎ Provide accurate and timely quotations, service updates, and documentation to clients.
∎ Maintain proper records of shipments and customer interactions.
∎ Address and resolve customer complaints efficiently and professionally.
∎ Monitor pending shipments and proactively follow up to ensure on-time delivery.
∎ Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for import shipments.
∎ Applied for SRO benefit to BEPZA after receiving the machineries and spare parts.
∎ Distribute Freight Certificate (Encashment Certificate) to forwarder.
∎ Bill of Entry collects from C&F and submit to the bank.
∎ Prepare and maintain periodic reports on import activities.
