Educational Requirements:
∎ Medical assistant diploma from recognized Institution with BMDC registration.
∎ Training on Noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) is desirable.

∎ At least 2 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Support planning and undertake supervision of medical aspects of medical interventions in opd.
∎ Supporting medical response actions by carrying out the tasks associated to his/her specialty and taking the leadership of the medical team in charge of the medical response.
∎ Carry out the medical functions and tasks associated to his/her specialty, whenever required or needed, in order to optimize the resources, contributing with his/her knowledge and experience.
∎ Ensuring the implementation and standardization of MSF clinical policies, tools, and hygiene protocols in order to minimize clinical risks and to guarantee the quality of patient care management. Promotion and maintaining confidentiality regarding all patient cases and records.
∎ Implementing diagnosis, prescription and prevention procedures that fall under the scope of his/her competencies applying medical knowledge, asking appropriate questions to patients and following protocols in force as well as using laboratory services when necessary, in order to ensure a correct implementation of the medical treatments and to refer patients when appropriate.
∎ Participating in the planning and supervision, in close coordination with other supervisors, the HR processes (sizing, staff shifts, recruitment, training, evaluation, development and communication) of the team in order to ensure both the sizing and the amount of knowledge required, improve people triage capabilities, their motivation and commitment and their active participation in teaching the targeted population on therapeutic and preventive protocols.
∎ In cases of medical emergency, carrying out first aid care and treatment according to protocols in order to reduce mortality rates.
∎ Recording in the individual patient's card and registration books, all performed medical activities (drugs prescribed, lab results, vaccination status, epidemiological activity, doses, etc.) keeping data traceability in order to ensure patients treatment continuity.
∎ When requested, taking the lead on medical aspects, rapid assessments to be conducted in the country in response to different alerts: epidemics, displacement of population, malnutrition and other emergencies
∎ Participating in data collection, management and reporting when required.
∎ Knowing and implementing Patient Therapeutic Education (PTE), i.e. keeping contact with all patients, providing them information regarding their health state and responding to their questions.
∎ Knowing and promoting the proper application of Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) Kit and Sexually Gender Based Violence (SGBV) protocol.
∎ Clinical work:
∎ Ensure the quality of global patient case management by facilitating communication between departments and care providers.
∎ Ensure that all MSF medical activities in the OPD are carried out in accordance with MSF standards, by enforcing the respect of the protocols and encouraging teamwork in the facility.
∎ Replace Medical assistants in patient management, if necessary.
∎ Referrals:
∎ Ensure and track referral in and out according to Policy.
∎ Community Feedback and Patient follow up in the camp:
∎ In collaboration with Health Promotion team, ensure proper tracking of defaulter patients, ensure required home visit, organize patient care meeting
∎ Improve the activity acknowledging community feedback
∎ Human resources/others:
∎ Supervision, organization of the staffs and rosters under his supervision and assigned to OPD.
∎ Cover and share responsibilities with other clinic supervisors during annual leave, sick leave, trainings.
∎ Medical supply management:
∎ Identify and ensure availability of the material needs (equipment and consumable material) required for the functioning of the OPD departments (monitoring and ordering of medical and logistical material).
∎ Supervise and manage the pharmacy stock by ensuring the weekly inventory and order to meet the needs for the medical activities.
∎ Other:
∎ Participate in other activities under his/her scope of performance as needed and recommended by the manager.
∎ Ensure the physical stability of the OPD structure by collaborating with the logistic team in planning and organizing the set out, renovation and maintenance as needed.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 18 to 60 years
∎ Minimum 2 years' experience as a medical assistant in medical activities.
∎ Experience of managing Noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) is desirable.
∎ English and Bangla essential. Rohingya Language would be an asset.
∎ Essential computer literacy (word, excel and internet).
