∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Manufacturing (Light Engineering & Heavy Industry), Packaging Industry, Pharmaceuticals, Trading or Export/Import
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Leading the Finance & Accounts department in compliance with and clear knowledge of:
∎ a. Accounting standards like IFRS and IAS;
∎ b. Companies Act, 1994 and subsequent editions/amendments;
∎ c. Labor Law 2006 and subsequent editions/amendments;
∎ d. Securities rules/regulations/directives/laws/ordinances/notifications issued from time to time by Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) and Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE)
∎ e. Latest updated rules/laws on Taxation and VAT laid down by the National Board of Revenue (NBR)
∎ Ensuring settlement of all financial matters and legal cases as per laws/rules on taxation and VAT laid down by the NBR
∎ Ensuring preparation of quarterly financial statements and the annual reports in conformity with applicable accounting and auditing standards including the Companies Act, 1994;
∎ Directing and controlling timely preparation and submission of audited annual report and maintain liaison with statutory and compliance auditors.
∎ Strategic planning and implementation of policies and procedures that contribute to good cost management of the Company's business;
∎ Strategic planning and implementation of financial processes and information system/software that will contribute to maintaining good cash flows and returns as well as ensure timely and accurate reporting to the Company's management;
∎ Developing plans and provide visionary guidelines for short/long term actions for strategic, financial, and operational activities to meet the Company objectives;
∎ Representing the Company in negotiations and liaison with the government authorities, regulatory bodies, Banks, and NBFIs.
∎ Assisting the Company Secretary in preparing finance & accounts related letters/replies to the BSEC and DSE.
∎ Any other responsibilities as and when stated by the MD & CEO from time to time.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 50 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ At least 10 years' experience directly relating to Accounting/Finance in a renowned Industrial Enterprise/Corporate House, with at least 2 years' experience as CFO/Finance Director or in a similar managerial position;
∎ Possess good presentation, organizational, and reporting skills;
∎ Proven interpersonal and communicative skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team of professionals;
∎ Excellent negotiation skill;
∎ Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems;
∎ Excellent in writing grammatically correct English and Bengali.
