Job Context:
∎ The CEO Engineering will be responsible for overall diversified project management in the field of pole manufacturing, gas line set up, steel manufacturing, railway slippers manufacturing & rail line installation, dredging and heavy construction etc. The process starts from scoping/ sourcing of business development opportunities, participating in bidding & tender submission, acquiring contracts, relevant business development strategies, relationship & networking with stakeholders both private & governments as well as execution of projects from material & people management, asset & inventory management, procurement, budget/ growth planning & timely completion/ delivery of projects.
∎ This position will lead the Engineering division of the organization and will directly report to Board of Directors of the organization. One of the critical requirements of the position is to handle diversified engineering business opportunities in different sectors such as pole, rail, dredging, gas line and heavy construction therefore interacting and leading large engineering team of different background working for various projects.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Initiate Business development strategies, prepare & coordinate action plans to achieve business targets by discovering new business opportunities.
∎ Liaison with Government & private organizations, monitor, review & report on all business development activities to assess the business opportunities that organization can explore.
∎ Work with procurement and engineering team leaders to acquire cost estimation of projects, preparation of tenders & bidding, contract acquiring & present the overall cost, revenue & profitability budget.
∎ Lead & direct due diligence efforts with internal team, local jurisdictions, external consultants and supervise the contractors to ensure that all work activities are on schedule and within budget.
∎ Plan, direct and lead activities of all construction projects to ensure that goals, objectives and all elements are accomplished within the prescribed time frame, quality and funding parameters.
∎ Responsible for creating engaging team by nurturing business mindset, ethics & values. Focus on training & development and adopt organization's succession planning initiatives.
∎ Manage each project by following the compliance requirements of Government and have through understanding of any risk factor involved in the projects.
∎ Prepare and review project reports for presentation to Board of Directors as and when required.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 12 to 14 year(s) relevant work experience is required for this position in a leading local organization or MNC.
∎ Should be outgoing and able to maintain strong networking for generating opportunities.
∎ Should be skilled & innovative in project management and business development.
∎ Should be analytical & target orientated.
∎ Good leadership skill is required for the position.
∎ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
