∎ Part I: Job Statement:- The Audit Officer is responsible for coordinating and providing accurate reports, minutes, and documents in collaboration with the Head of Internal Control to develop risk-based annual audit plans, ensuring comprehensive coverage and timely execution of audit activities.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Schedule, prepare, and avail accurate and timely reports, minutes, and other documents for Audit Committee meetings
∎ Assist the Head of Internal Control in developing risk-based annual audit plans detailing the scope, nature, and timing of the audit activities at the organization
∎ Perform audit programs for audit assignments ensuring that all priority issues have been addressed
∎ Audit various project areas for compliance in accordance with CNRS and other donor policies and procedures and assess the adequacy of the internal control structure
∎ Actively monitor and provide feedback to the Head of Internal Control to advocate for the timely implementation of management recommendations following audit reports
∎ Work closely with the procurement function to contract for goods and services
∎ Review accounting records for adequacy of documentation, safety, and availability
∎ Physical checks of projects offices and follow-up through reports on all relevant transactions
∎ Ensure that all major risks related to donor funds are identified, analyzed and develop and implement strategies to mitigate those
∎ Review and report on the accuracy, timeliness, and relevance of financial and other information to the management
∎ Follow up on the implementation of the Corrective Action Plans to confirm that all actions have been taken as stated
∎ Any other activities as assigned by the Management
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum three years preferable in I/NGOs or Donner Agencies in a similar position
∎ Experience in maintaining accounts and financial reporting of projects funded by institutional donors will be given preference
∎ Knowledge of VAT/Tax is expected
∎ Knowledge of computerized accounting systems, ICT particularly MS Excel, MS Word (both Bangla & English), etc., is essential. Capable to operate Tally-Accounting Software will be an added value
∎ Having non-discriminatory and gender-sensitive perceptions along with safeguarding
∎ To protect children in connection
∎ Should be fluent in communication both in writing and speaking in the English language
∎ Should be self-driven and positive to work in a team.
∎ Should have a "can do' attitude and be able to handle multiple tasks managing priorities.
