Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum BBA or B.Sc. in any relevant field from reputed institution.
∎ MBA / Masters will be preferred.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 6 to 10 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for Transport Management and Maintenance of the group.
∎ Develop and implement transportation strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
∎ Ensure the day-to-day tasks such as monitoring and managing daily transportation activities, route planning, scheduling, resource allocation and management, driver supervision.
∎ Maintain liaison and coordination with BRTA, Local Police, Chittagong Port, Trade Organization, Transport Vendors, Industrial Police, Government Agencies and other parties in relation to smooth operations of Transport departments.
∎ Attend Accident Site and deal with the situation.
∎ Ensure the smooth operation of transport maintenance.
∎ Ensure the scheduled checks on vehicle and spare parts.
∎ Keep update on the vehicle documents (tax token, fitness, insurance etc) and make necessary arrangement of new vehicle registration.
∎ Keep all existing license / Certificates up to date and also obtain new license as and when required.
∎ Monitor and Manage Vehicle Tracking Systems (VTS) and Inventory Management Systems.
∎ Collaborate with other departments such as procurement, sales, and operations to ensure smooth coordination and alignment of logistics activities with overall business goals.
∎ Develop and manage transportation budgets, analyzing expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
∎ Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and industry standards.
∎ Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect both drivers and cargo.
∎ Conduct regular safety audits and driver training programs.
∎ Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to enhance transportation operations.
∎ Any other task assigned by the Management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 36 years
∎ Proven working experience as Transport Manager
∎ Knowledge on BRTA regulations.
∎ Experience in managing Transport/Logistic Maintenance Department in any prominent Local or Multinational Company.
∎ Knowledge on automobile spare parts and experience on local market explore & purchase in competitive price.
∎ Proficient in using transportation management software and technology.
∎ Excellent leadership skills.
∎ Good conflict resolution skills.
∎ Outstanding communication skills.
∎ Ability to work well with team members and navigate stressful situations.
∎ Problem-solving mindset and willingness to challenge the established norms.
