Job Responsibilities:
∎ To develop proposals for research projects which increase the knowledge, understanding and discovery of new explanations, insights, concepts, and processes as 'Principal Investigator' or 'Co-Principal Investigator'
∎ To lead quantitative research activities and projects including the development of the personal, group, or collaborative objectives, as 'Principal Investigator' or 'Co-Principal Investigator.'
∎ To develop research protocols, interpret research findings, generate high-quality publications, and disseminate results through appropriate media
∎ To prepare reports and present information to research groups, steering groups, etc. - particularly progress reports, overseeing similar activities of research assistants when appropriate
∎ To identify sources of funding and lead the process of application
∎ To manage research project budgets and other resources
∎ To lead and develop internal and external networks, and collaborative groups, representing the University in a professional manner at all times, including links with professional bodies, research funding streams, etc.
∎ To mentor junior researchers' workshops and training on quantitative research methods
∎ To supervise of MPH students for the summative learning project, if required to teach relevant courses in MPH
Additional Requirements:
∎ Ph.D. + at least 2 years research experience. + at least 2 publications in peer-reviewed Journals + experience in quantitative research
∎ Or,
∎ Masters + at least 8 years' experience of quantitative research + 5 publications (3 publications as 1st author, 2 publications as 2nd/3rd author) in peer-reviewed journal + at least 1 proposal submitted & 1 research project coordinated
