Responsibilities & Context:

Grameen Caledonian College of Nursing (GCCN) is looking for dynamic professional nursing leaders for the position of Asst. Professor. Nursing professors implement the curriculum in order to prepare students adequately for the challenges present within all aspects of the nursing field. In order to keep up with the current needs of nursing, professors revise their programs where and when necessary. Like nurses, professors often need specialized, teaching competency in which they have an expert such as pediatrics, mental health or critical care field.

  • To lead the Nursing research strategy going forward and develop the research culture.

  • Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students to the highest professional standards.

  • To lead and manage academic and research staff as appropriate.

  • Supervising dissertations, projects and researches of undergraduates & postgraduates.

  • Implement College`s philosophy, curriculum aiming for program outcomes and course objectives through classroom and clinical teaching.

  • Participate in academic advisement and counsel for the assigned group of students.

  • Evaluate and record the student`s level of performance based on course objectives.

  • Evaluate and grade student`s classwork, laboratory and clinical activities, assignments, and course work.

  • Plan, evaluate, and revise curriculum, course content, and course materials and methods of instruction.

  • Participation in student recruitment, registration, and placement activities.

  • Provide service on academic or administrative committees that deal with institutional policies, departmental matters, and academic issues.

  • Performance of administrative duties such as serving as department head.
