∎ We are looking to recruit an Assistant Professor/Associate Professor- Climate Change and Environment for the School.
∎ Purpose: The Assistant Professor/Associate Professor`s responsibilities would include teaching a number of classes and seminars, attending conferences, conducting research, and supervising students and the team.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Academic Activities:
∎ Develop, deliver and organise course (s), deliver lecture, develop curriculum and course materials, advise and mentor students at different courses.
∎ Write and review manuscripts, ethical review applications, course material etc.
∎ Supervise, advise and mentor teaching assistants and graduate students.
∎ Assist in the training and recruitment of new lecturers and teaching assistants.
∎ Research Activities:
∎ Lead qualitative and quantitative research activities and projects including the development of projects in collaboration with peers, and also lead.
∎ Identify sources of funding and lead the process of application.
∎ Manage research project budgets and other resources.
∎ Be responsible for research data archiving and ensuring adherence to ethical guidelines.
∎ Carry out advanced quantitative analysis and/or qualitative analysis (e.g., codebook preparation, coding).
∎ Writing proposals to secure research funding.
∎ Ensure peer reviewed publications from research.
∎ Liaison and Networking:
∎ Lead and develop internal and external networks and collaborative groups, representing the university professionally at all times, including links with professional bodies and research funding streams.
∎ Present findings of the research in large forums and attend national and international conferences to discuss the research findings.
∎ Attending academic events and networking with other researchers and field experts.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 6 years for the position of Associate Professor
∎ 2 years for the position of Assistant Professor
∎ Publications: Preference to applicants with publications in peer reviewed journals.
