Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Assist in preparing procurement plans and ensuring timely acquisition of goods and services required for the programme.
∎ Support the preparation of purchase requests, quotations, and purchase orders in line with organizational procurement guidelines.
∎ Maintain and update procurement records, including supplier lists, contracts, and delivery schedules.
∎ Ensure transparency and accountability in all procurement processes.
∎ Support the coordination of transportation and delivery of food supplies and materials to schools.
∎ Ensure proper handling, storage, and distribution of goods in compliance with safety and quality standards.
∎ Maintain detailed records of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate documentation for all logistics activities.
∎ Assist in resolving logistical challenges, including delays or disruptions in the supply chain.
∎ Monitor stock levels at the central kitchen and storage facilities to ensure uninterrupted operations.
∎ Assist in conducting regular physical inventory checks and reconciling discrepancies.
∎ Maintain accurate records of inventory usage, wastage, and replenishment requirements.
∎ Ensure proper storage practices to minimize damage or spoilage of goods.
∎ Coordination and Reporting:
∎ Work in close collaboration with the Project Officer, and the school feeding program team to ensure that PSEA (Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse), child protection, and gender considerations are integrated into all activities.
∎ Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, finance, and programme teams, to ensure seamless operations.
∎ Support the preparation of regular reports on procurement and logistics activities, including challenges and recommendations for improvement.
∎ Assist in maintaining documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
∎ Assist in planning and implementing contingency measures during emergencies.

∎ The Assistant Procurement & Logistics Officer is responsible for supporting procurement and logistics activities for the school feeding programme in Bhasanchar.
