Job Context:
∎ Has established a state-of-the-art LPG Import, Storage, Bottling and Distribution Terminal in
∎ Sitakunda, Chattogram. The Main Terminal is located at Sitakunda in Chattogram and satellite stations will be in Broader Dhaka &
∎ Mongla/Khulna region. The company is now looking for a dynamic, self-motivated and high caliber individual for the following
∎ position:
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Review or update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards,
∎ regulations, or laws.
∎ Develop alternative sources of supply & smart supplier's database.
∎ Develop material costs forecasts or standard cost lists.
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly procurement action Plan and function wise yearly procurement budget.
∎ Appraise vendor manufacturing ability through on-site visits and measurements.
∎ Assist and ensure purchase of engineering/manufacturing goods, spare parts & consumables.
∎ Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders.
∎ Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.
∎ Monitor forecasts to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities.
∎ Meet with suppliers to discuss performance metrics, to provide performance feedback, or to discuss production
∎ forecasts or changes.
∎ Implement new or improved supply chain processes.
∎ Import items procurement considering proper safety stock to avoid any hamper in production.
∎ Assist in shipping documents checking, verify PI, sales contract & other documents.
∎ Collaborate with other departments, such as group procurement, accounts, engineering and quality assurance to
∎ identify or qualify new suppliers.
∎ Develop or implement procedures or systems to evaluate or select suppliers.
∎ Analyze information about supplier performance or procurement program success.
∎ All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Company policies, practices and procedures.
∎ Identify supplier options including local and certified diversity entity where applicable;
∎ Assist in the development and implementation of solutions to identified issues;
∎ Ensure quality service, and best available price on goods and services in an ethical manner without compromising
∎ quality;
∎ The incumbent is expected to perform other duties necessary for the effective operation of the department.
∎ Good knowledge on local procurement with VAT, TAX regulations as per materials category.
∎ Ensure to check the actual/competitive price of different goods and materials by visiting the market frequently.
∎ Individual has to work in MM Module in SAP environment with ease.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 30 years
∎ Having minimum of 5 years' professional experience is a must.
∎ Having worked previously in LPG/Cylinder industry would get preference
∎ Sound knowledge in Sourcing, Procurement, Negotiation & Commercial activities.
∎ Professional Degree on SCM would be added advantage.
∎ ERP/SAP knowledge would be preferred
Salary:
∎ Negotiable
∎ Depending On Job Experience
