Position Overview
The Assistant Manager (Finishing Engineer) will be responsible for supervising and managing all aspects of finishing works at project sites, ensuring quality, aesthetics, and timely execution. This role requires technical expertise, site management skills, and a strong eye for detail to deliver flawless outcomes in line with Fortress’s quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and manage finishing works including plastering, painting, tiling, flooring, false ceiling, carpentry, and fittings.
Ensure finishing activities are executed according to design specifications and quality standards.
Inspect materials and workmanship, resolving site-related issues promptly.
Coordinate with contractors, architects, QC team, and project managers to ensure smooth workflow.
Monitor project schedules and ensure timely completion of finishing milestones.
Maintain documentation and prepare progress and quality reports.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and BNBC/RAJUK standards.
Provide guidance to site supervisors and workers to maintain workmanship excellence.
Qualifications & Experience
B.Sc. in Civil Engineering (M.Sc. preferred).
4–7 years of professional experience in finishing works, preferably in real estate or large-scale construction projects.
Strong knowledge of finishing materials, installation methods, and quality control techniques.
Hands-on experience in managing contractors and site labor.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
