Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Carry out supervision of all works as per approved method statements;
∎ Examine Contractor’s preparation of work and the completed position of work as per design & drawings and promptly advice the Contractor;
∎ Must stay at site all time, supervise, and monitor the work in the field and prepare the progress of work and repot to the Team Leader (TL)/Project Executive Engineer’s;
∎ Must stay at site all time, supervise, and monitor the work in the field and prepare the progress of work and report to the TL/Project Executive Engineer’s
∎ Carry out regular inspection of Contractor’s equipment, plant machinery, installations, housing, and medical facilities;
∎ Direct Contractor to carry out works, as may be necessary, to avoid or reduce the risk/time loss in case of any emergency if necessary contracting TL/Executive Engineer through Cell Phone.
∎ Supervise the Contractor’s work on all matters concerning the safety of works, workers, workmanship, and environmental aspects;
∎ Witness and certify sampling and testing to be carried out by staff of the Construction Contractor to ensure quality;
∎ Monitor and review the test result/certificates for all construction materials and/or sources of materials, and report to TL;
∎ Examine and certify interim and all bills payment of contractor.
∎ Maintain a record of all measurements with dates for the works/quantities to be paid for;
∎ Assist TL in preparing reports;
∎ Maintain a record of all tests carried out for monitoring the quality of works;
∎ Assist the TL/Executive Engineer of district in Planning, Coordinating, and monitoring of project implementation, including preparation of the annual plans of operations and detailed budgets for all project activities;
∎ Identify project management issues arising from the monitoring of physical and financial progress, and bring these to the knowledge of TL/Executive Engineers for onward attention of the project Director;
∎ Assist TL for review of detailed engineering designs and built’ drawings prepared by the Contractor and maintain record of test of all data and record.
