ABOUT BANGLADESH SHOE CITY LTD. AND JENNYS GROUP
Jennys Group is one of Bangladesh's established business groups with a strong foundation in footwear manufacturing, export, and industrial development. The Group operates across different entities related to the manufacturing and export of footwear to international markets, as well as industrial and real estate developments. One of the Company’s keystone projects is Bangladesh Shoe City (BSCL) Ltd., a privately developed industrial manufacturing zone in Konabari, Gazipur built to attract global footwear brands seeking compliant, infrastructure-ready production facilities in Bangladesh.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Jennys Group and Bangladesh Shoe City Limited expand operations, there is a growing need for a structured and reliable accounts and administration function at the corporate level. The Accounts & Admin Officer will be responsible for managing daily financial operations, vendor management, intercompany billing, and internal accounts auditing across the Group's associate manufacturing units and entities. This is a high-trust role with direct exposure to financial records, export documentation, and confidential company data—absolute discretion and integrity are non-negotiable. The ideal candidate brings strong financial acumen, organizational efficiency, and the ability to seamlessly coordinate periodic audits and cost evaluations with senior leadership and factory-level management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Daily Operations & Vendor Management
Receive, log, and verify all incoming vendor invoices against purchase orders and delivery notes.
Maintain an organized vendor invoice register, ensuring every invoice is tracked from receipt to payment.
Reconcile vendor ledgers regularly and resolve any invoice discrepancies or vendor queries.
Coordinate with the Managing Director and Director on vendor payment processing and scheduling.
2. Accounts Administration & Petty Cash
Manage the daily petty cash float, disbursements, and supporting documentation, while maintaining an accurate petty cash book.
Actively maintain and update all accounts files, registers, and lists, ensuring an organized filing system for financial documents and bills.
Maintain organized records of bank statements, prepare documents required for bank-related matters, and keep a basic fixed asset record for office equipment.
Oversee the billing and invoice archive for all intercompany transactions across partner factory entities.
3. Weekly Responsibilities — Associate Factory Audits
Conduct a weekly on-site audit at the Group's associate footwear manufacturing facilities covering:
Cash & Banking: Verify factory-level cash books and petty cash against vouchers, and reconcile factory bank transactions.
Inventory & Stock: Verify physical stock of raw materials (leather, soles, accessories), work-in-progress, and finished goods against book records. Cross-check the purchase register against Goods Received Notes (GRN).
Sales & Export Documentation: Cross-check sales registers against export documentation, shipment records, import dues, and payment statuses. Review back-to-back LC records, EXP forms, bills of export, bonded warehouse registers, and utilization declarations for compliance.
Payroll & Staff Records: Verify wages, overtime, attendance registers, staff advance/loan registers, and worker-related miscellaneous costs (e.g., transportation, food).
Assets & Utilities: Verify fixed assets against physical factory assets and cross-check utility bills (electric meter and gas bills) against recorded consumption patterns.
Reporting: Prepare and submit a weekly audit findings report to the Managing Director and Director, flagging discrepancies.
4. Monthly Intercompany Billing & Reconciliations
Prepare and issue monthly bills for associate manufacturing units (including export/jobwork commission bills, admin/guest house rent bills, and export incentive sharing bills) with complete supporting documentation.
Prepare monthly bill top sheets with accurate VDS and TDS calculations.
Reconcile all intercompany transfers between Jennys Group entities.
Conduct a full monthly vendor ledger reconciliation across all outstanding accounts and submit a monthly petty cash summary.
Compile and submit a monthly summary of factory audit findings for management review.
5. Periodic & Project-Based Responsibilities
Support accounts and bookkeeping tasks across other Jennys Group entities as required.
Assist the Managing Director and Director with periodic reconciliations, reporting, and external audit document retrieval/verification.
Support preliminary cost estimations and financial data gathering when evaluating new business ventures or initiatives.
Continuously identify efficient methods for vendor management, billing, and audit reporting.
