  • Proficiency in MS office (Ms Word, Ms Excel, PowerPoint etc);

  • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students;

  • Typing speed of 45 wpm.



Responsibilities & Context:

Applications are invited from energetic and self-motivated candidates for the post of Academic Program Officer (APO) in different departments of USTC on prevailing terms and conditions:

Job Responsibilities

  • To assist the Dean/Chairman for program operations aligned with institutional policies and accreditation standards;

  • To maintain and update departmental records and correspondence as per direction of Chairman of the Department;

  • To maintain files of departmental matters in an organized way (both hard and soft copies);

  • To prepare and distribute the Admission Advertisement materials of respective Department/Faculty in consultation with Central Admission Committee,  Registrar’s office, Admission office, Chairman/Dean of the concerned Department/Faculty;

  • To assist the Dean/Chairman for arrangement of Admission Test & publication of results and dissemination of such to the admission seekers;

  • To serve as a point of contact for student/guardian inquiries regarding any academic issues;

  • To assist the Dean/Chairman for smooth operation of the Faculty/Departmental activities;

  • To assist the Chairman of the Dept for ensuring compliance with academic regulations and accreditation requirements;

  • To support faculty with administrative tasks such as scheduling, exams, and related logistics;

  • To organize faculty meetings, record minutes, and follow up on action items under the supervision of Dean/Chairman;

  • To prepare different periodical reports for the authority;

  • To assist for organizing academic events such as seminars, workshops, and conferences etc;

  • To manage communications within the academic departments or university authority;

  • To develop promotional materials for online platforms under the supervision of Chairman of the Department;

  • To ensure accurate data entry, word processing, spreadsheet preparation and documents formatting in a timely manner;

  • To execute any other duties assigned by the authority.
