Job Responsibilities:
∎ We're looking for proficient mid/senior WordPress developers to join our core team. Responsibilities include developing components on the server side with WordPress and WP based technologies.
∎ Writing reusable, testable, secured and efficient PHP, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
∎ Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration.
∎ Optimize performance of applications utilizing industry standards on all ends of the architecture.
∎ Monitoring the performance of live websites.
∎ Ensuring high performance on all platforms such as mobile devices, web and desktop.
∎ Migrating websites from other platforms to WordPress
∎ Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
∎ Proficiency in PHP, MySQL and AJAX
∎ Developing POCs/MVPs quickly.
∎ Coordinating the workflow between the UI/UX Designer, the QA, and yourself.
∎ Fixing pre-existent bugs in wordpress websites, redesigning application layout and theme when required.
∎ Provide technical guidance and assistance to other Jr. developers.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 2-5 years of experience with WordPress platform and programming in PHP.
∎ Expertise in WordPress Custom Theme Development and Plugin Development
∎ Expertise in WordPress Plugin Integration (WooCommerce, WPML plugins etc)
∎ Should understand how to make WordPress manageable from admin panel
∎ Understands WordPress architecture and knows how to perform database and code optimization for WordPress
∎ Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery
∎ The ability to work on LAMP development environment
∎ WordPress REST API development and integration
∎ WordPress Block development e.g. Gutenberg, Elementor etc.
∎ A thorough understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues
∎ Strong understanding of fluid and responsive web design techniques
∎ Understanding of W3C Web Standards/Semantics and Accessibility Guidelines
∎ Good understanding of WordPress security best practices
∎ Good understanding of WordPress optimization and performance best practices
∎ An ability to work on multiple projects and tasks at the same time
∎ Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
∎ Good English communication skills
∎ Strong problem solving and coding skills are required
∎ Understand the core values of Agile, especially iterative/adaptive development
∎ Experience with Google Tag Manager, SEO and the Google algorithm
∎ Experience with BigCommerce, Magento, and Shopify is preferred
∎ Experience with PHP frameworks like Laravel, CodeIgniter is a plus
∎ Experience with frontend frameworks like Angular/React/Vue is a plus
