Responsibilities & Context:
Guest Service: Greet and seat guests promptly. Provide menus and offer detailed explanations of dishes, ingredients, and traditional preparation methods (e.g., Szechuan spice levels, Dim Sum varieties).
Order Management: Accurately take food and drink orders, including specific requests for dietary needs or allergies. Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure timing is synchronized for multi-course meals.
Tea & Beverage Service: Perform traditional tea service if required. Suggest appropriate beverage pairings for various dishes.
Table Maintenance: Set and reset tables according to restaurant standards (placing chopsticks, tea cups, and soy sauce dishes correctly). Clear plates promptly between courses.
Up-selling: Suggest daily specials, appetizers, or signature desserts to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.
Billing: Prepare accurate checks, process payments (cash/card), and handle any bill-related inquiries professionally.
Cleanliness: Maintain the hygiene of the dining area and service stations, following all food safety regulations.
