Job Context:
∎ Reports to: Director
∎ Department/Section: Tender, Costing
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for Estimation of Price bid for Building, Dredging, Bridge, Railway, Road/Highway, Powerplant and any other types of Civil & Infrastructure projects
∎ Identifying Relevant Tenders both online and offline, using industry networks; purchasing Tender documents, studying tender data sheet & necessary clauses; Performing during Pre-Bid Meetings
∎ Pre-contract Estimation/Costing/Budgeting; Preparation of Construction Program & Planning; Conduct Project Risk And Unit Rate analysis, and Formulate the Bid strategy; Ensure Project Site is visited before costing in order to analyse the availability of Labour, Material, Plant
∎ Preparing Tender Documents, Create Technical & Financial documents; Detailed review of Tender documents: Technical bid, Specification, Price bid (BOQ) enquiry, Submittal & Drawings; Create Equipment & Manpower Schedule, Work on Price Escalation, and Variation orders
∎ If online tender, then Fill up the e-GP form & BOQ, Enclosing/Mapping documents as per requirement; Encrypting all e-GP form after checking properly. Accepting NOA, submission of performance security, contract agreement preparation and any other necessary works (if contract is awarded)
∎ Draft Bank guarantee (BID Bond/Performance Security), Letter of Credit Commitment /Facilities and bill assignment documents; Maintain and update contractual records, changes, status reports, and other information
∎ Monitor contract compliance with established procedures, Ensure all contracts are signed and delivered to relevant parties; Preparation of Contract Documentation, Expression of interest, pre-qualification; Contract administration (JCT80, IFC84, MW); Post Contract Management of projects: valuations, variations, cost reporting, Nominated Sub-Contractors
∎ Letter drafting (Bengali/English), Drafting JV Agreements, Power of Attorney, Memorandum of Understanding (MOU); Preparing and handling correspondences, of contractual letters to Employer, Consultant, Subcontractors, Engineers
∎ Monitoring the tender submission process for formatting, completeness, consistency, accuracy and compliance & manage the bid qualification process for new opportunities
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 37 to 45 years
∎ At least 10-15 years Practical Working Experience in the Construction Industry is Mandatory;
∎ The Candidate must have experience in the following areas: Tendering, Engineering, Analyst, Administrative, Writing/Editing, Documentation handling, Purchasing, Research, Quality Assurance, Legal
∎ Ability to work independently, with a very good speed and under a lot of Pressure
∎ Strong Bangla and English communication
∎ MS Office (Advanced Skills)
∎ Strong communication, convincing and interpersonal skills; ability to learn quickly and adapt fast to the environment.
∎ Must have background knowledge and experience in the Construction, Infrastructure, and Power Industry
