∎ English medium background will be given preference

∎ The iSTEM-BD (Innovative Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) program was established in 2017 to aim for innovative learning platforms is to explore different teaching and learning strategies and apply within.
∎ Looking For : Teacher: Accounting / Economics (O & A Level)
∎ Reporting to: HR of iSTEM
∎ Location: Mirpur-2, Dhaka

Job Responsibilities:
∎ ROLE DESCRIPTION
∎ To teach Commerce Subjects from O-level to A-level (small group of students)
∎ DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/ JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
∎ The successful applicant for this post will be expected:
∎ To teach Accounting/Economics/Business Studies to O-level to A-level to small groups of Students
∎ To develop innovative sessions (PPT, audio-visual Sessions)
∎ To ensure that all lessons are planned with clear aims and learning outcomes.
∎ To take into account the differing ability lessons of students and differentiate work accordingly.
∎ To encourage all students to become independent learners and be actively engaged in their own learning.
∎ To ensure that all students are known by name and that the classroom atmosphere is positive at all times.
∎ To ensure that there is a high standard of display work in the classroom, which is changed frequently.
∎ To attend meetings in the Academic Department.
∎ To make a positive contribution to the efficient running of the Department, including setting and marking examinations, parents dealing, attending departmental meetings, and undertaking administrative and other tasks as delegated by the Director of Academic Programmes.
∎ To enhance the quality of teaching and learning in the Academic Department and through sharing resources and good practice, lesson observation, and collaborative teaching.
∎ To safeguard and promote the welfare of students.
∎ To maintain good professional working relationships with colleagues, line managers and administrators
∎ To work as a team player

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Excellent command over English (both in oral and written communication).
∎ Candidates with teaching experience in English medium school will get the preference.
∎ High level of proficiency in English (both verbal & written) is essential.
∎ Active participation in iSTEM-BD events.
