Educational Requirements:
∎ Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering ideally Diploma (other equivalent qualifications will be considered).
Experience Requirements:
∎ At most 2 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Modeling and designing different energy systems in particular solar system and downstream roles such as procurement adviser and Owner's Engineer.
∎ Modeling and designing solar energy system often connected to grid or off grid areas.
∎ Advising Team Manager on public and private sector client's options of renewable energy, risks and appropriate actions to make choices and mitigate risks.
∎ Undertaking technical consulting projects including energy master plans and energy infrastructure feasibility studies.
∎ Supporting the project managers on project management and administration & helping on proposals designs.
∎ Coordinating work with engineers, technicians and other specialists.
∎ Research into low carbon energy system innovation and related aspects of cities, resilience and climate change.
∎ Keeping up to date with technical and policy developments in the energy sector.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 23 to 29 years
∎ Experience of energy system installation, commissioning and operation.
∎ Experience in Sub Station and electrical wiring, commissioning and operation.
∎ Knowledge of current energy regulations, such as BPDB, the feed-in tariff, metering system etc.
∎ A sound understanding of the principles of climate change and its relationship to the energy sector.
∎ Knowledge in remote monitoring system would be an added advantage.
∎ Excellent communication skills (both written and oral).
∎ Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams.
∎ Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines is essential.
∎ Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills.
∎ Highly motivated and willing to take on new challenges
∎ Required to travel from time to time for assignments
