Job Context:
∎ Student Counselor is expected to have a wide range of knowledge regarding specific educational, vocational and certificate programs that may interest students for enrollment. S/He should have a keen understanding of various college applications, and S/He should be able to assist students in obtaining the necessary documentation needed for the application process.
∎
∎ Student Counselor supports students one on one in their application process, selection of courses, and meeting application deadlines. Admission counselors also help in promoting the recruitment events.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Have experience in Australian admissions
∎ Clearly state the depth and breadth of their services in writing
∎ Assist in crafting the college list
∎ Help in brainstorming application, drafting a resume, and scholarship essays
∎ Make admission guarantees at any college
∎ Prepare documents on behalf of the students
∎ Highlighting the benefits of specific schools, programs, and courses in order to attract students and encourage diversity on campus
∎ Helping students choose courses and extracurricular activities that will help them get into their chosen colleges or careers after graduation
∎ Staying current with school admission processes and requirements, school programs, majors, and courses, and developments in education and financial aid
∎ Conducting interviews, reviewing application materials, and assisting in the admissions decision-making process
∎ Maintaining accurate and current knowledge of educational legislation, trends, developments, and resources
Additional Requirements:
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ Proven work experience as a Counselor or similar role in at least 3 years
∎ Familiarity with college and university programs, majors, admissions requirements and processes, and scholarship and financial aid resources
∎ Strong planning and people reading skills
∎ Experience with full-cycle recruiting
∎ Good knowledge of educational legislation, trends, developments, and resources
∎ Demonstrable leadership abilities
∎ Solid communication skills
Salary: Tk. 30000 - 50000 (Monthly)
