∎ ● Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive problem‑solver.
∎ ● Proficiency in engineering software such as: ETABS, STAAD Pro, SAFE, SAP2000, AutoCAD / Revit, Familiarity with BIM ● tools is a plus
∎ ● Sound understanding of: Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC), ACI, ASCE, ASTM, Eurocodes
∎ ● Load calculations (dead, live, wind, seismic, etc.)
∎ ● Experience in designing and checking machine foundations, mezzanines, platforms, pipe supports, utility buildings, etc.
∎ ● Hands-on experience with construction supervision, site coordination, and structural safety audits is a strong advantage
∎ ● Good knowledge of fire safety, building safety standards, and compliance requirements (Accord/Alliance, RSC, Primark).
∎ ● Experience in preparing structural reports, BOQ, technical specifications, and design documentation.
∎ ● Must be registered with IEB (The Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh).
∎ ● Experience in designing and checking machine foundations, mezzanines, platforms, pipe supports, utility buildings, etc.

∎ SNOWTEX Group, a leading name in the RMG (Ready-Made Garments) sector with a strong commitment to sustainability and innovation, is seeking a qualified and experienced Structural Engineer specializing in Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) and Steel Structures. The role will be crucial in supporting the company’s ongoing and upcoming industrial expansion projects including factory buildings, warehouses, utility structures, and other infrastructural developments.The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, analyzing, and ensuring the structural integrity of new and existing facilities while collaborating with architectural, MEP, and project management teams. This position is ideal for an engineer looking to apply high-level structural expertise in a dynamic, fast-paced industrial environment where precision, safety, and compliance are of paramount importance.Key Responsibilites:●Design safe, cost-effective, and code-compliant RCC and steel structures for industrial buildings, factories, utility platforms, mezzanines, machine foundations, water tanks, pipe racks, and other infrastructure.
∎ ●Perform detailed structural analysis for gravity loads, lateral forces (wind, seismic), and service loads using structural engineering software such as ETABS, STAAD Pro, SAFE, SAP2000.
∎ ●Ensure all designs strictly adhere to Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC), ACI, ASCE or other relevant international codes.
∎ ●Apply engineering judgment and knowledge of codes to review and validate structural stability, durability, serviceability, and deflection limits.
∎ ●Prepare and review structural drawings including general arrangement drawings, reinforcement detailing (bar bending schedules), steel connections, joint details, and foundation plans.
∎ ●Specify appropriate construction materials (grades of concrete, reinforcement, structural steel sections) based on structural requirements, availability, and cost-efficiency.
∎ ●Provide technical support on structural material performance, anchorage systems, and construction techniques.
∎ ●Conduct design verification and cross-checks of structural calculations, detailing, and drawings prepared by external consultants.
∎ ●Review contractor/shop drawings and fabrication details to ensure conformance to design intent and standards.
∎ ●Prepare or support the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ), design briefs, technical specifications, and calculation reports for construction tenders and regulatory approvals.
∎ ●Document design assumptions, design criteria, loading conditions, and software modeling parameters.
∎ ●Provide technical guidance to project and site teams during the construction phase to ensure structural work is executed as per design.
∎ ●Conduct site visits for inspection of formwork, reinforcement placement, steel erection, and concrete works, and resolve structural issues in real time.
∎ ●Work closely with architects, MEP engineers, civil teams, and project managers to integrate structural systems with overall project design.
∎ ●Participate in design coordination meetings and provide inputs to optimize structural layout in line with production and utility requirements.
∎ ●Ensure all structural designs meet safety audit requirements from Accord/Alliance, RSC, Primark or third-party inspectors in the garments industry.
∎ ●Support structural integrity assessments and retrofitting solutions for existing buildings, if required.
