Job Context:
∎ The company is one of the earliest member of REHAB in Bangladesh for quality in service, design and construction of buildings. Over the years, we have expanded our operations from Dhaka to Chattogram. The private limited company operates in the field of property development & construction sector, having built commercial, residential projects & developing projects for the Bangladesh government.
∎ We are looking for an experienced and innovative Structural Engineer who has experience in high rise building`s Structural Design.
∎ He will need a strong operational background in a corporate setup and be well versed in managing the company at an executive level. He will manage day-to-day operations of the company, handle all aspects of Board relationships, legal matters, and general issues, thus having a direct effect on the financial and operational bottom line of the company. His industry, corporate and market knowledge will come from a successful career in the Real Estate & Construction Sector.
∎ He will need to be highly articulate, confident and a persuasive team-builder who is able to motivate and communicate across levels to achieve best outcomes both internally and externally. He will directly supervise the efforts and activities of all senior and middle level managers and ensure that they comply with all the manuals of the company and legal procedures
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Producing detail drawings, detailing structural systems, preparing engineering reports and calculations.
∎ Conduct regular feedback with the other team members ( project Architects, project Engineers-Electrical and mechanical & plumbing)
∎ Analysis configurations of the basic structural components of building & other structures responsible for the structural design and Full time supervision of Building Projects.
∎ In case of Structural design, considering Earthquake Resistance Design according to the Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC), American Standard (ACI), Uniform Building Code (UBC).
∎ Ensure that all logistic supports i.e. materials including in-house supplies, drawings, designs, detailing are available on demand at site.
∎ Ensure adequate material and labor for projects through coordination with supply chain team, contractors, etc
∎ Manage multiple projects through effective planning, monitoring, report of progress etc.
∎ Always follow every construction work is being executed as per approved specification and if any defect/error is detected in any construction elements shall immediately inform that to the site in charge. Ensure inventory management and control as per policies.
∎ Developing change in work process or modify, if required, according to company policy Supervise all site engineers of the company
∎ Project management and evaluation, planning, scheduling and monitoring progress of multiple construction projects in conjunction with Operations Take necessary steps for soil test.
∎ Take necessary steps for survey of land.
∎ Meeting with the team members and motivate them to contribute their efforts for timely completion of the project in a most cost effective way.
∎ Ensure that all indents for procurement of materials are in conformity both in respect of desired quality & quantity of works that are actually required as per works program for every month. Take necessary steps for designing sanitary, plumbing and electrical design for projects from reputed Firm/Company/Engineer.
∎ Check quality of construction materials, testing of materials from BUET, if necessary appropriate measure to ensure it.
∎ Find out ways to minimize construction cost and wastage of materials
∎ Make a meeting every month with Managing Director and to brief him about the Engineering & construction problem of every project with written papers and to take instruction.
∎ Maintain liaison with Architect, Electrical Engineer and other design related people. Attend meeting of critical L.O / apt owner during the execution of construction work. Prepare design progress report & submit to appropriate higher authority from time to time.
∎ Any other task assigned by the management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum 8 years Experience as a Structural Engineer
∎ professionally Registered (Must be rajuk Registered)
∎ Structural Engineer should be know the RCC frame structure and Steel Structure Design.
∎ Structural Engineer Should Know the Design Software Such as Auto Cad, Etabs, SAP and Stad-pro.
Salary:
∎ Negotiable
∎ Depending on length of experience, field of expertise, industry exposure, market value of skill sets acquired, company may offer higher compensation package than indicated above to acquire candidate`s services for full-time employment.
