Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Procurement Management: Oversee the complete procurement process, including sourcing, purchase orders, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiation to ensure cost savings and efficiency.
∎ Supplier Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, address performance issues, and conduct regular market visits to explore new options and ensure quality.
∎ Inventory Control: Monitor and forecast inventory needs, reconcile IOUs, and implement measures to minimize overstock and shortages, aligning procurement with production demands.
∎ Cost Optimization: Analyze procurement expenses, implement cost-saving initiatives, and track compliance with budgets while reducing operational costs.
∎ Compliance and Documentation: Ensure adherence to procurement policies and maintain accurate records, coordinating with legal and finance teams for contractual and regulatory compliance.
∎ Market Research and Strategy: Conduct market research to stay informed about trends, pricing, and material availability, using insights to inform procurement strategies.
∎ Collaboration and Reporting: Work with cross-functional teams to align procurement with company goals and prepare performance reports, offering recommendations for process improvements.
