Job Context:
∎ Genweb2 Limited is looking for Sr. Software Developers specializing in building large scalable web based platform using Open Source technologies. Candidates must have a strong work ethic, good communication skills (spoken and written English is required), a collaborative mindset, the capacity to learn new skills, and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment.
∎ We are looking for self starters who are motivated, proactive, and eager to learn and contribute with minimal direction. Attitude is as important as aptitude and specific technical skills.
∎ Developers will work with team members in multiple locations including the US and as such, will be required/expected to be flexible with work hours, communication methods (conference calls, video chat, email etc.) and travel, if practical.
∎ Developers will work on the existing sources to modify based on client requirements
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Using OOP, Design Patterns and Data Structures
∎ Producing and consuming RESTful web services with JSON
∎ Using Spring with annotations. Having experience with xml configuration will be considered as an added plus.
∎ Using JPA, Hibernate or iBatis experience will be considered as added plus
∎ Using Maven or Ant or Gradle is a must. Experience working with Jenkins will be considered as an added plus.
∎ Using Git or Mercurials as source control is a must
∎ Having experience in SVN will be considered as an added plus.
∎ Applying industry standard best practices
∎ Mentoring other developers
∎ Working with message queues
∎ Analyzing and verifying user requirements along with experience with ER Diagrams, Class Diagram, Sequence Diagrams and so on.
∎ Using AngularJS, NodeJS, JQuery, etc.
∎ Systems integration strategies and patterns, such as REST / SOAP web services, messaging
∎ Installing and configuring Tomcat or JBoss and deploying web apps
∎ Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo will be considered as added plus
∎ Writing HQL and SQL
∎ Scheduling and executing batch jobs with Quartz and/or Spring Scheduler
∎ Working with Intellij Idea or Eclipse is a must.
